The Bristol’s Local Artists project started when we became frustrated that Spotify only really promoted and paid already successful musicians. To combat this, we created a Spotify playlist to direct locals to the right place to hear music produced by other locals.
The Spotify playlist now contains over 180 songs from different artists, a duplicate has also been made on Amazon Music and Tidal. The project has branched in various directions, features on social media, podcasts interviewing bands, now a database of artists, studios and venues here on our website. Despite Bristol’s Local Artists being non-profit, this project does cost the founder a significant portion of time and funding. If you would like to support the project, to keep it going, please consider donating to our PayPal.
